Noetic Math Contest

(Problem Solving Contest for Elementary Students for 2nd-6th)

The Noetic Math Contest is a biannual math challenge for elementary students. The goal of the competition is to encourage young students’ interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.

The 2019 Fall Noetic Math Competition will take place at NJ Academy on Wednesday, October 16th, or Saturday, October 19th. Please let us know by Monday, September 30th if your child will be participating and which day they will be coming. If you would like to register fall and spring contest, the fee for the test is $50.00. Registration can be done online through the web registration link below or in person at NJA office. 

The Noetic Math Contest is a semiannual problem solving contest for Elementary and Middle School Students in grades 2-8. The goal of the competition is to encourage young students interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math. During the contest, students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems. Many problems are designed to challenge students and to enrich their problem solving experiences.

Overview

During the contest, students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems that can cover a broad range of mathematics skills taught in school, including:

  • Computation & Number Property

  • Pattern & Algebra

  • Geometry & Measurement

  • Probability & Statistics

* Registration fee for both tests: $50
